Gypsy Theatre Guild will present the “Old Time Radio Show” featuring “The Shadow,” “The Lone Ranger” and “The Bickersons” in classic, old-time radio show fashion. Showtimes will be 7:30 p.m. on May 17-19 and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 20. The performances will be held at the Angel Theatre at La Salle Grange, 5095 Hwy. 2 W. Columbia Falls.
The productions are recreated exactly as they would have been broadcast in their original presentations. The actors read from scripts into microphones, there is little stage movement, and a “Foley artist” recreates the sound effects live just as would have been done in the original broadcasts. The audience is invited to sit back, relax, close their eyes if they desire, and take a trip back to the Golden Age of Radio.
Tickets are $22 for general admission, and $17.50 for seniors 65 and older, children 12 and under. Active military and veterans will also receive the discounted price.
